The 1967 B6 was designed for GT racing and its victorious debut was at Brands Hatch in April when Digby Martland in the Robert Ashcroft Racing B6 won the 10 lap Special GT Cars race from the Chevron GT of John Lepp with the Peter Taggart B6 (also on its maiden outing) rounding off a great race for Chevron in third. Of the seven B6s built, six were fitted with 1991cc BMW engines and one with a 1598cc Ford twin-cam. Previously Chevron had used aluminium bodies for their cars but with the B6 a switch was made to Specialised Mouldings-produced fibreglass bodies.
