B28

The 1974 F5000 B28 was an update of the successful race-winning B24 but despite this success only two cars were sold to the Team VDS. The season started well with Peter Gethin winning the opening round of the Rothmans Championship at Brands Hatch further victories were taken by Gethin at Zolder, Zandvoort and Monza. Despite several second other podium finishes Gethin finished the year as runner-up to Lola-mounted Bob Evans whilst Pilette was out of luck, leading several races but mechanical gremlins ruining his chances.

The two B28s continued into 1975 driven by Tony Dean and Dave Walker with both drivers scoring early season podiums.

Notable drivers:
Tony Dean, Peter Gethin, Ingo Hoffman, Teddy Pilette, Dave Walker.
